- 2 cups Almond Milk
- 1/4 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
- 2 tablespoons Maple Syrup or Honey
- 1 teaspoon Ground Turmeric
- 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon Ground Ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon Ground Cardamom
- 1/4 teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
- 1/2 cup Whipped Cream or Marshmallows
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, pour in the almond milk and heat until steaming but not boiling (4-5 minutes).
- Reduce heat to low and whisk in the cocoa powder until smooth (2-3 minutes).
- Stir in maple syrup or honey and mix thoroughly until dissolved (about 1 minute).
- Add turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, and cardamom, whisk for about 2 minutes until well blended.
- Sprinkle in black pepper and stir for an additional minute.
- Heat the mixture for another 2-3 minutes while stirring gently.
- Pour the spiced hot cocoa into mugs and serve.
- Optional: Top with whipped cream or marshmallows.
