Key Ingredients for Raspberry Muffins Recipe with White Chocolate Chips
Raspberry Muffins Recipe with White Chocolate Chips is a delightful way to bring together the tartness of fresh raspberries and the sweetness of white chocolate. Every bite of these muffins tells a delicious story, perfect for breakfast or a mid-afternoon snack.
-
Raspberries: Fresh raspberries are the star of this recipe! Their natural tartness contrasts beautifully with the sweetness of the white chocolate. You can also use frozen raspberries if fresh ones are not available, but be sure to thaw and gently pat them dry to avoid excess moisture in your batter.
-
White Chocolate Chips: I prefer high-quality white chocolate chips, as they melt perfectly and create delightful pockets of sweetness in each muffin. The creamy texture pairs so well with the tangy berries, creating a harmonious balance of flavors.
-
Flour: All-purpose flour serves as the foundation for these muffins, providing the right structure. If you’re looking for a gluten-free option, a 1:1 gluten-free flour blend can work wonders in this recipe.
-
Sugar: Granulated sugar sweetens the muffins, while a touch of brown sugar adds depth and moisture.
-
Butter: I use melted butter, which lends a rich flavor while helping to keep the muffins tender.
-
Eggs: Eggs help bind the ingredients together and add moisture. They are crucial for achieving that soft, fluffy texture everyone loves.
-
Baking Powder: This leavening agent is essential for helping your muffins rise to fluffy perfection.
-
Milk: I typically use whole milk for the best richness, but you can substitute with almond or oat milk to cater to dietary preferences.
-
Vanilla Extract: A splash of vanilla extract elevates the flavors, tying the whole muffin experience together.
By carefully selecting each key ingredient, you will create Raspberry Muffins that will not only taste amazing but also bring joy to any gathering or solo snack time.

Cooking Tips and Notes for Raspberry Muffins
When crafting your own Raspberry Muffins Recipe with White Chocolate Chips, a few handy tips can make all the difference between a good muffin and a spectacular one. Picture yourself on a bright morning, the aroma of freshly baked muffins filling your kitchen. Let’s make sure you achieve that delightful moment with these insights.
Choosing the Right Berries
For the best results, use fresh raspberries; their vibrant color and tangy sweetness enhance the overall flavor. If you can’t find fresh raspberries, frozen ones are a great alternative. Just remember to toss them in a bit of flour to prevent them from sinking to the bottom of the batter.
The Importance of Room Temperature Ingredients
Always start with room temperature eggs and butter. This helps to create a smoother batter, which leads to a uniform texture in your muffins. If you forget to take your butter out of the fridge, a quick fix is to microwave it in short increments—just enough to soften but not melt.
Don’t Overmix!
After adding your dry ingredients to the wet, mix until just combined. Overmixing can lead to tough muffins, and nobody wants that! A few lumps are perfectly okay.
Check for Doneness
Every oven is different. For a perfect bake, start checking your muffins a couple of minutes before the recommended time. They should be golden on top and a toothpick inserted in the center should come out clean or with a few moist crumbs.
By following these tips, you’ll create Raspberry Muffins with White Chocolate Chips that are not just tasty but also visually delightful. Enjoy this delightful baking journey!

Delicious bakery style muffins packed with fresh raspberries and white chocolate chips.
Ingredients
- 3 cups (360g) all-purpose flour
- 1 ½ cups (297g) granulated sugar
- 3 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp ground nutmeg
- 2 large eggs
- ¾ cup (236ml) buttermilk
- ½ cup (118ml) vegetable oil
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups fresh raspberries (can also use frozen, do not thaw)
- 1 ½ cups (255g) white chocolate chips
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl combine the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, and nutmeg. Stir together and set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl combine the eggs, buttermilk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. Stir to combine with a spatula.
- Gradually mix in the dry ingredients, mixing just until combined. The batter will be very thick! Gently mix in the raspberries and white chocolate chips.
- Cover the bowl with a towel and allow the batter to rest for 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 425ºF during this time.
- For bakery style muffins, line a 12 count muffin pan with 6 muffin liners. Fill every other muffin well with batter, filling to the top with about 6-8 heaping tablespoons. Use a butter knife to smooth the tops if lumpy. Press additional raspberries and white chocolate chips on top and sprinkle with sanding sugar.
- Place one pan in the center of the oven and bake for 7 minutes at 425ºF, then lower the temperature to 350ºF and bake for an additional 18-21 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the muffins to cool in the pan for 15 minutes before removing. Repeat with the remaining batter, bumping the temperature back up to 425ºF.
Notes
- I recommend a 30 min rest because this batter is juicy from the fresh fruit.
