- 32 oz frozen hashbrowns
- 1 can (10 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine thawed hashbrowns, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese, melted butter, and chopped onions.
- Season with salt and pepper. Mix well to combine.
- Spread mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
- Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup cheddar cheese over the top.
- Bake uncovered for 45–55 minutes, or until golden and bubbly.
- Let rest for 5–10 minutes before serving.
Notes
- This casserole can be prepared ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
- Feel free to add other ingredients like cooked bacon or diced bell peppers for extra flavor.
