Ingredients

  • 1 can (10 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine thawed hashbrowns, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese, melted butter, and chopped onions.
  3. Season with salt and pepper. Mix well to combine.
  4. Spread mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  5. Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup cheddar cheese over the top.
  6. Bake uncovered for 45–55 minutes, or until golden and bubbly.
  7. Let rest for 5–10 minutes before serving.
