Description

Delicious and easy peanut butter chocolate oat bars made with cake mix, perfect for a quick treat!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box cake mix (15 oz)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup butter (softened)
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup quick oats
  • 1/3 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 1/3 cup M&Ms
  • 4 tbsp water

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine cake mix, water, egg, butter, and peanut butter.
  3. Add oats and brown sugar, mix well.
  4. Gently fold in chocolate chips and M&Ms.
  5. Spread the dough into a prepared 9×12 baking pan. (I used parchment paper for easier removal.) If you would like thicker bars, you can use a smaller 9×9 baking dish as well.
  6. Bake for approximately 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool completely in the pan before slicing.
