Description

A delicious and healthy breakfast option made with rolled oats, chia seeds, cottage cheese, and almond milk.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 1/2 cups rolled oats
  • 5 tablespoons chia seeds
  • 5 tablespoons maple syrup (or honey)
  • 2 1/2 cups cottage cheese
  • 2 1/2 cups milk (unsweetened almond milk recommended)

Instructions

  1. In five jars or bowls, add 1/2 cup of rolled oats and 1 tablespoon of chia seeds, then mix well.
  2. Drizzle 1 tablespoon of maple syrup into each one.
  3. Add 1/2 cup of cottage cheese to each, then 1/2 cup of milk.
  4. Give everything a good mix, cover, and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  5. The mixture will be a little thin, but it will thicken as it chills.
  6. When ready to enjoy, remove the cover and give everything a good mix; the mixture will be very thick. If you want it thinner, add some milk, one tablespoon at a time.
  7. Add toppings and enjoy.

  • Adjust sweetness by varying the amount of maple syrup or honey used.
