Description

Delicious lemon brownies with a sweet glaze.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice (for glaze)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Mix the butter and sugar until fully combined.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Add in the flour, baking powder, and salt until just incorporated.
  5. Mix in the lemon juice and lemon zest.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Prepare the glaze by mixing powdered sugar, lemon juice, and lemon zest until smooth.
  9. Spread the glaze on top of the cooled brownies and let set.

  • Store brownies in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
  • For a more intense lemon flavor, add extra lemon zest.
