Instructions
- Cook the macaroni: Boil water in a large pot, add elbow macaroni, and cook until al dente (7-8 minutes). Drain and set aside.
- Sauté beef: In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with diced onion until onions are soft.
- Season and simmer: Add garlic powder, salt, and pepper to the beef mixture. Pour in milk and stir until combined; let it simmer gently.
- Combine: Mix in shredded cheddar cheese until melted, then fold in cooked macaroni until coated.
- Optional baking: Transfer to a baking dish, top with more cheese, and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15-20 minutes until bubbly.
