Description

A delicious berry trifle made with layers of angel food cake, mixed berries, and creamy pudding.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
  • 1 can (21 oz) strawberry or cherry pie filling (optional)
  • 1 box (3 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1½ cups cold milk
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups whipped topping (Cool Whip or homemade)
  • Caramel or berry sauce (for drizzling)
  • Extra berries and whipped cream swirls (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk the pudding mix with cold milk until thick, ensuring no lumps. Stir in sour cream until smooth.
  2. In a trifle dish or large glass bowl, layer half of the angel food cake cubes at the bottom.
  3. Add half of the mixed berries over the cake cubes.
  4. Spread half of the creamy pudding mixture on top of the berries.
  5. Repeat the layers with the remaining cake cubes, berries, and pudding mixture.
  6. Spread the whipped topping over the final layer and drizzle with caramel or berry sauce.
  7. Add fresh berries and whipped cream swirls for garnish.
  8. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
