Description

This rich and indulgent chocolate lava cake features a gooey center that flows out when cut into.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 oz dark chocolate
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Grease a small ramekin.
  2. Melt the chocolate and butter together until smooth.
  3. Whisk in the powdered sugar, then add the egg and vanilla extract.
  4. Gently fold in the flour and salt until just combined.
  5. Pour batter into the ramekin and bake for 9-11 minutes, until the edges are set but the center is soft.
  6. Let cool for 1 minute before carefully inverting onto a plate. Serve immediately.
