Description
This rich and indulgent chocolate lava cake features a gooey center that flows out when cut into.
Ingredients

- 2 oz dark chocolate
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Grease a small ramekin.
- Melt the chocolate and butter together until smooth.
- Whisk in the powdered sugar, then add the egg and vanilla extract.
- Gently fold in the flour and salt until just combined.
- Pour batter into the ramekin and bake for 9-11 minutes, until the edges are set but the center is soft.
- Let cool for 1 minute before carefully inverting onto a plate. Serve immediately.
Notes
- Make sure not to overbake the cake to maintain the gooey center.
- This cake pairs well with vanilla ice cream.
