Description

A creamy and cheesy queso dip perfect for parties or game day.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1 jalapeño, seeded and finely chopped
  • 1 can (10 oz) diced tomatoes with green chilies, drained
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
  2. Add the diced onion and jalapeño. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until softened.
  3. Stir in the diced tomatoes with green chilies and cook for 1 minute.
  4. Reduce heat to low and add the shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese, stirring constantly.
  5. Gradually pour in the milk, stirring until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  6. Season with garlic powder and salt. Serve the queso dip warm.
