Description
A rich and creamy chicken dish with mushrooms, perfect served over noodles, potatoes, or rice.

- 1 lb chicken thighs or breasts
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 medium yellow onion, diced
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 ½ cups chicken broth
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- ⅓ cup sour cream
- ⅓ cup heavy cream
- 1 tsp paprika
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp chopped parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Season the chicken and sear in olive oil over medium-high heat until golden and cooked through. Set aside.
- In the same skillet, add butter and sauté onion until soft. Add garlic and mushrooms, cooking until browned.
- Sprinkle flour over vegetables and stir well. Gradually pour in chicken broth, scraping the bottom of the pan.
- Stir in Dijon mustard, paprika, salt, and pepper. Let it simmer for a couple of minutes.
- Add sour cream and heavy cream, stirring until smooth. Return chicken to the skillet.
- Simmer gently until the sauce thickens and everything is heated through.
- Garnish with parsley and serve warm over noodles, potatoes, or rice.
