Description

These crispy cinnamon sugar tortilla chips are a delicious treat that can be served as a snack or dessert!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 flour tortillas (8-inch, preferably a day old)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt (optional)
  • Honey, powdered sugar, or fruit salsa for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Mix granulated sugar and ground cinnamon in a small bowl. Set aside.
  2. Stack tortillas and cut each into 6–8 wedges using a sharp knife or pizza cutter.
  3. Toss tortilla wedges in a bowl with melted butter until evenly coated.
  4. Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture over wedges and toss again to coat fully.
  5. Choose cooking method:
  6. – To Bake: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lay chips in a single layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  7. – To Fry: Heat oil in a pan to 350°F (175°C). Fry wedges in batches for 1–2 minutes per side until golden. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  8. While still warm, optionally sprinkle with more cinnamon-sugar.
  9. Cool completely on wire rack or paper towels to crisp.
  10. Serve with your favorite sweet dips or enjoy on their own!

Notes

  • For best results, use day-old tortillas as they are crispier.
  • Feel free to experiment with different dipping sauces like chocolate or caramel.
