Delicious homemade chocolate chip cookies that are soft and chewy.
Ingredients

- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla extract.
- Gradually mix in the dry ingredients, then stir in the chocolate chips.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto prepared baking sheets and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Cool on wire racks.
Notes
- Store cookies in an airtight container for up to a week.
- For chewier cookies, slightly underbake them.
