Description

A delicious recipe for crispy chicken thighs coated in a flavorful orange garlic sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon orange zest
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Pat chicken pieces dry and season lightly with salt and black pepper. Toss the chicken in cornstarch until evenly coated.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add coated chicken pieces in a single layer and cook for 3-4 minutes per side, until golden and crispy. Remove chicken and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Stir in orange juice, soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, orange zest, and red pepper flakes. Bring to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Return the crispy chicken to the skillet and toss to coat with the orange garlic sauce. Cook for 2 more minutes until heated through.
  6. Serve immediately, garnished with sliced green onions.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in soy sauce and garlic for 30 minutes before cooking.
  • Adjust the amount of red pepper flakes according to your heat preference.
